Just more than a half-dozen children gathered at our local Williams Sonoma today for the “Be Our Guest” Junior Chef class. The Disney-themed class comes before the March 17th release of “Beauty and the Beast” in theaters.
Williams Sonoma has also partnered with Le Creuset to sell their Limited Edition ‘Beauty and the Beast Soup Pot’ online [$280/Order now, expect delivery in June].

A chef led the cooking lesson in the Williams Sonoma store, which lasted an hour. Junior chefs learned the importance of mathematics when it comes to measurements, and were able to decorate their own cookie (recipe below). Participants received a 10% discount on any purchases in-store, following the class.

Most Junior Chef classes are offered at no-charge, but space is limited. Recommended for kids ages 8-13. A full schedule can be found online. Call your local store to reserve a spot.
