What You Should Know About the ‘All You Can Eat Nugget’ Event at Chick-fil-A

Always, always read the fine print.

An advertisement for “All You Can Eat Nugget Day” at Chick-fil-A is going viral, but there’s one problem.

Beneath the bright red logo it says, “St. Pete Beach”. That’s because the offer is only available on Friday night — at ONE location in Florida. Some fans of the fast food chain didn’t take a close look at the flyer before blasting it into the social media universe.

But that’s not stopping hundreds, possibly thousands, of chicken lovers from sharing the deal with excitement. Ahh, the power of social media. The corporate Facebook page and local franchises across the country are getting comments from left and right. Megan from Davenport, Iowa wants to know why she can’t eat bottomless nuggets and waffle fries for $12.99, too.

“I’m seeing a popular post coming across my timeline, saying that on October 30th it’s all you can eat nuggets?? Could you please confirm or deny? Lol I can’t seem to get a straight answer.” -Bridget from PA

Well Bridget, the Tampa Bay Times is reporting that the feast will go on in St. Pete Beach, but you wouldn’t know it. They’ve removed the promotion from their Facebook page and the corporate page hasn’t addressed it, either. An employee from St. Pete Beach also told the newspaper that “Nugget Day” wasn’t meant to go viral.

On Friday night, confusion may just cause customers to wait for their food, until the cows come home.

Homeowner to 911: There’s a Monkey Eating My Mail (Only in Florida!)

This story my friends… is internet gold.

It’s Monday in Hidden Lakes. John Doe (name not disclosed to protect identity, or because Police didn’t release it) is finishing his morning cup of coffee. He looks out the window – it’s cloudy ahead of the afternoon rain in the forecast. Then, he sees the unimaginable and calls 911.

I can only imagine what the 911 dispatcher was thinking. It probably went a little something like this, “Did he just say there’s a monkey sitting on top of his mailbox, eating mail? Clearly, the junk mail doesn’t arrive for two more days so it couldn’t have been that alluring sheet of coupons from Pizza Hut.” So when Police arrived to the Sanford, Florida neighborhood this morning, they found a monkey — and he wasn’t as pleasant as the mailman. First, the macaque checked the durability of a nearby stop sign.

Next, he began dismantling an unmarked patrol car.

Finally, officers were able to distract the monkey with a bottle of Spring Water, until the owner realized that his wild animal was on the loose. His name is Zeek and neighbors lovingly refer to him as “mischievous” on Facebook. Zeek’s owner has a permit, so instead of living at the zoo — the monkey calls the Central Florida neighborhood ‘home’.

No humans were injured during the melee, but we can’t speak to the condition of John Doe’s Visa bill. Instead of getting a mug shot, Zeek got a selfie with one of Sanford’s finest. The monkey was then returned to its owner, but it may come at a price. He was fined by Florida Fish and Wildlife a few years back, after another escape, according to reports.
